Contacted to respond to Route 30 and Newport Road for a tractor trailer that was overturned. We were advised that the trailer was fully loaded with trash. Photos were sent from the scene.

Based upon the information we were given and the photos, we dispatched a recovery subversion, two of our heavy duty sliding rotator recovery units, a heavy wrecker, our skid steer loader with grapple, and a tractor to repower the trailer. Additionally, we contacted Null’s Recovery & Site Restoration to respond for traffic control, the fluids spill, and cargo clean up.

Upon arrival, a Peterbilt tractor pulling a walking floor trailer were found to be overturned on the passenger side and partially blocking the roadway.

Our team along with NR&SR went to work to upright the unit and clean up the scene. Once NR&SR completed the spill containment and drilling/pumping of the fuel tanks, the truck and trailer were separated. The tractor was uprighted, a landing cushion was used to control the landing of the tractor. One of our heavy wreckers hooked to the tractor and moved it from the immediate area.

It was confirmed with the driver that the company did not have anyone enroute for the cargo or environmental clean up.

The two heavy duty sliding rotator recovery units then lifted the trailer, which was still approximately 80% loaded. The trailer was uprighted in mid air and set back onto it’s wheels. Our tractor then hooked to the trailer.

The two rotators and the heavy wrecker towing the damaged tractor cleared the scene. The remaining equipment and personnel remained onscene and worked with NR&SR to assist them with cleaning up the fluids and cargo that had spilled on the ground.

The damaged truck and trailer were transported from the scene to Null’s of Cochranville where they were placed in our secure storage yard.
