Contacted to respond to Route 41 and Fallowfield Road at the request of the vehicle owner for a Ram pick-up truck that had left the roadway and went over the guard rail. We were advised that there was a fuel leak and that the truck would need to be lifted back onto the roadway.

Based upon the information we were given, we dispatched one of our long reach sliding rotator recovery units, a rollback, and our attenuator truck for traffic control.

Upon arrival, the attenuator truck set-up a lane shift moving the southbound Route 41 traffic into the turn lane, the turn lane was closed to northbound traffic.

With traffic control in place, our rotator and rollback proceeded to the scene. The rotator set-up on a work platform. The rotator rigged to a spreader bar. The spreader bar was placed over top of the truck. Straps were connected from the truck to the spreader bar. The truck was lifted, once the truck was lifted, we were able to determine that gas tank was punctured and still leaking. There was also oil leaking from the area of the transmission. A spill diaper was placed under the truck to contain the fluids while the recovery continued.

The truck was set onto the bed of the rollback. The rigging was removed and returned to it’s respective location. The truck was secured via a four point tie down. The vehicle parts were picked up from the scene.

The truck was transported from the accident scene to Null’s of Cochranville where it was placed in our secure storage yard.
