Contacted to respond to Noble Road and Brick Mill Road in Christiana PA for a tractor trailer loaded with hay that the trailer was overturned. Photos were sent to our recovery supervisor from the scene.

Based upon the photos, two of our heavy duty sliding rotator recovery units, a skid steer, an incident response truck, and one of our tractors were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, we were given the go ahead by PSP to begin the recovery. It was determined that the trailer and load would be able to be set-up together in order to preserve as much of the load as possible. Our team worked to get straps started under the load and began lifting the trailer and load back to an upright position. Once the trailer was upright, it was lifted off of the embankment and set back onto the roadway. The rotators and skid loader worked together to shift the bales back centered on the trailer and re-secure the load. In all, there was one quarter of one bale that was left laying on the roadway from the trailer overturning.

One of our operators then escorted the driver to the delivery location.

A huge thank you to the Christiana Fire Company Volunteers for their help onscene! As always, it is greatly appreciated!
