Contacted to respond to the Route 30 bypass eastbound in the area of E Kings Hwy to assist Miller’s who were onscene with a boat on a two axle trailer that the trailer was severely damaged and the boat was partially off of the trailer.

Photos were sent from the scene. Based upon the photos and information given, we dispatched a sliding rotator recovery unit and our Landoll trailer.

Upon arrival, one of our portable light towers was set-up to provide scene lighting to create a safer work environment for our crews and other crews working onscene. The rotator set-up to lift the boat and trailer. The hitch on the truck had to be cut to separate them. Straps were placed under the boat and trailer. The boat had to be lifted clear of the guard rail and the pick up. Once clear of the pick-up, Miller’s were able to then load the pick up truck and move it so that the Landoll could back under the boat. The boat was loaded and secured to the Landoll.

The boat and trailer were transported from the accident scene to Miller’s. Once at Miller’s, the boat and trailer were lifted off of our trailer and set onto the parking lot.
