Requested to respond to Route 41 and Woodview Road in London Grove Township for a tanker truck that a tree had
fallen on that was blocking the roadway.   Based upon the information we were given, we dispatched one of our heavy
duty sliding rotator recovery units and a tractor to repower the trailer.  We also contacted Null’s Recovery & Site
Restoration to respond to the scene.   While enroute to the scene, we were met by PSP approximately 1 mile from the
scene and advised we needed to back into the scene from that location.  We were escorted into the scene via PSP.

Upon arrival, the Volvo tractor pulling a trailer was found to have been travelling northbound on Route 41 when a tree
fell across the roadway.  A southbound vehicle struck the tree and pushed it into the cab of the northbound tractor
trailer.  The rotator was set-up on a work platform and rigged to lift the tree off the front of the tractor trailer.  The tree
was rotated and set onto the ground where it could safely be cut into smaller pieces by NR&SR.

The truck and trailer were then separated.  The rotator hooked to the back of the tractor and prepared to tow it from the
scene.  Our tractor hooked to the trailer and prepared to transport it from the scene.  We assisted NR&SR with clearing
the tree parts from the roadway.  Once the roadway was clear, the truck and trailer were transported from the accident
scene to Null’s of Cochranville where they were placed in our secure storage yard.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE AVONDALE FIRE COMPANY FOR THEIR HELP ON THE
SCENE OF THIS INCIDENT.  AS ALWAYS, IT IS GREAT APPRECIATED!
