Contacted to respond to Lower Valley Road in in the area of Lenover Road for a SUV that was off the roadway and in a ditch. One of our rollbacks were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, the Toyota Rav4 was found to have left the roadway, drove into a swamp area and became stuck on top of a culvert. The vehicle appeared to have little to no visible damage. The front bumper was on the ground. The front suspension was hanging as the vehicle was sitting on it’s underbody.

Our rollback operator determined that the vehicle would need to be lifted out of the location it was in to avoid causing any damage to the vehicle.

At that point, one of our long reach sliding rotators were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, the rotator was set-up on a work platform.

The boom was rotated and extended out over top of the vehicle. Straps were connected to all four wheels. The vehicle was lifted straight up out of the swamp area and set back onto the roadway. There appeared to be only minor cosmetic damage to the vehicle. There was mud and dirt in the wheel and brake area.

Due to safety concerns the vehicle was hauled from the accident scene. The vehicle occupants were transported to their nearby hotel.
