Contacted by the Chester County Fire Radio Dispatch requesting us to respond to Route 41 and Highland Road in West
Fallowfield Township for a serious motor vehicle involving a large spill, multiple vehicles, and entrapment.

Based upon the information we were given, we immediately contacted Null's Recovery & Site Restoration to respond to
the scene.

One of our recovery supervisors was onscene and advised that the accident involved a Freightliner box truck, a
Utilimaster route van, a Toyota pick-up truck, and a Volkswagen sedan.  He advised that all vehicles had major damage
and that there was a large spill on the roadway.  He requested that along with NR&SR that a heavy duty wrecker, our
Landoll trailer, and two rollbacks be dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival personnel were immediately given the go ahead to begin clearing the roadway.

The two rollbacks worked to load the vehicles and move them out of the way so the heavy duty wrecker could hook to
the box truck.

The Landoll worked to load the route van and secure it for transport.

With the other vehicles now being moved from the immediate area, the heavy duty wrecker began hooking to the front of
the severely damaged box truck. The hood was secured.  The driveline was removed.  The brakes were caged, wireless
towlights were installed. The truck was moved from the immediate area so that clean-up of the large spill could continue.

NR&SR worked onscene to continue cleaning the spill and vehicle parts from the accident scene.  Their personnel
applied absorbents to the spill in order to contain it to the roadway.  There was a large volume of fluids on the roadway
that had leaked from the box truck and then ran down the roadway.

The vehicle parts were swept.  The absorbents were spread on the area of the spill and worked into the surface of the
roadway.  The vehicle parts, fluids, and absorbents were cleaned up from the roadway and placed into DOT transport
salvage drums.

The roadway was swept utilizing a power broom.

The drums were loaded into the Incident Response Unit and secured for transport from the scene.

All vehicles were transported from the accident scene to Null's of Cochranville.

Once at Null's, the vehicles were placed in our secure storage area.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE COCHRANVILLE FIRE COMPANY AND WEST
FALLOWFIELD TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR THEIR HELP
ONSCENE, ALONG WITH THE MULTIPLE FIRE POLICE UNITS THAT HANDLED
THE ROAD CLOSURE!
