| May 15, 2012 We were called to respond to Newport Road at the Houston Run Complex in Gap PA for a loaded tractor and trailer that was jack knifed, we were advised that the load had shifted and would possibly need to be re-loaded. Truck 09 along with a recovery supervisor who was in the area were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival of the supervisor a flatbed loaded with lumber was found to have been attempting to turn around when the load shifted causing the trailer and load to severely lean, the load was actually hitting the sleeper portion of the tractor. Truck 09 arrived and backed into the scene. The trailer and load was lifted back upright the rear of the tractor and front of the trailer were then winched sideways so they were back in line and more stable. Once stable the load was then shifted back into place. The front three bundles of lumber which were stacked three high had to be moved back in place so the truck could safely continue to its destination. |
